Baltic Assist expands tax services across Europe, strengthening its one-stop BPO model

Overview

Managing taxes across multiple European jurisdictions has never been more complex. A European Commission study found that in 2019, the cost of fulfilling tax obligations for EU companies already amounted to 1.9% of their turnover, and that was before the EU adopted an additional  13,000 regulations. With individual member states also tightening rules for international businesses, that burden has only grown since.

For European companies operating across borders, this complexity is a day-to-day reality. Lithuanian-based outsourcing firm Baltic Assist is responding with a significant expansion of its international tax services, now available across the entire European continent.

Senior expertise in-house

Leading this expansion is Edgaras Džekčiorius, who joined Baltic Assist in May 2025 as Head of the International Tax Department. With a background as a Senior Tax Consultant at EY, Edgaras brings the kind of deep, cross-border expertise that was previously only accessible through large international firms at a fraction of the cost.

"International tax compliance is becoming increasingly demanding, especially for mid-sized companies expanding across Europe," says Edgaras. "What we offer at Baltic Assist is senior-level expertise without the overhead of a traditional consultancy. Our clients get direct access to specialists who understand both the local nuances and the broader European picture."

The department handles the full scope of international tax matters from optimising group structures and managing compliance across jurisdictions, to company formation, liquidation procedures, and resolving tax and legal issues.

One partner for every business function

What sets Baltic Assist apart is not just the quality of its tax offering, but how it fits into a broader model. The company has long provided accountingfinancial controlHR management, and operational outsourcing, including marketing managers, software developers, and personal assistants. With tax now added to the mix, Baltic Assist can serve as the single outsourcing partner for virtually every business management function a mid-sized company needs.

CEO Andžej Rynkevič sees this as the natural evolution of the company's vision: "Our goal has always been to meet all the business management needs of our clients under one roof. Tax was the missing piece. Now, companies expanding into new European markets no longer need to coordinate between multiple service providers, we handle it all."

This consolidated model also means faster response times and lower costs.

Serving Europe's most active business markets

Baltic Assist currently serves over 800 businesses, primarily from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and the Benelux regions, where cross-border business activity and regulatory complexity are especially high. The company's tax team already has active projects in multiple countries, including Denmark, Poland, the UK, and Lithuania, and is continuing to grow.

With over 300 employees across Lithuania, Denmark, and Poland, and a tax department now equipped with top-tier expertise and pan-European reach, Baltic Assist is positioning itself as the outsourcing partner of choice for internationally active businesses that want quality, convenience, and cost-efficiency all in one place.
